if you’re looking for an easy and inexpensive way to start updating your look for spring, think about your sunglasses! they are definitely easy to find around, super cheap. keep an eye open at your pharmacy or gas station (seriously, you never know what you might find).
this season, it is all about COLOR for sunglasses. try a new shape that you don’t currently own, definitely go for something with a vintage or futuristic (my two favorite words) feel. the ones above are from the selima sun for j. crew collection, available now. happy hunting!
this is an example of how i’m incorporating the sporty trend into my transitional wardrobe. i am OBSESSED with this varsity jacket. since i’m pretty tiny (only five feet) i have pretty good luck finding great slightly oversized clothing. the jacket is actually a large! it fits just how the boyfriend style should, but on me very few boys clothes fit in a cute way (except for mens size small t shirts, one of my many closet addictions).
the key parts of this look (the sunglasses and necklace) i acquired for free. i’m not saying you have to rob your friends or wait for your relatives to die off to update your wardrobe, but rather that interesting pieces are hiding all over the place. antique shops and clothing swaps with friends are GREAT places to get unique things, for cheap (or even better… FREE!)
